After a long 32 km day, I arrived to the small town of Terradillos de los Templarios which probably means nothing to you, but it marks the half way point of the Camino from Saint Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago. Very exciting!
In spite of my knees complaining (probably due to my too heavy pack!) and the long days, I know I can do this and I am enjoying my Camino experience very much. One of the things I am enjoying is that every day is different; I am seeing new places and doing things that I have never experienced before.
A couple of days ago we found a wonderful Alberque that had a pool and a wonderful garden. I ended up guiding about six people in a yoga class and had so much fun. It was more like a resort then a hostel and I would have loved to stay longer but that won’t get me to Santiago!
I am walking on my own but meeting people along the way and will visit for awhile then continue on. At this point in the trip I am seeing familiar faces and am also meeting new people from all over the world. I have loved hearing people’s stories and why they are doing the Camino. The other topics of conversation are: “Where did you start your Camino?”, “Are you going to Santiago?”, and “Where you are going tomorrow?”. Of course you always seem to discuss these and how your body and feet are holding up. I have learned a wealth of knowledge about blister care and luckily am still blister free.
Lovely pictures, so glad you are having fun, meeting people, and have no blisters !!! Love you – Lynn
